novas ferramentas-conceito da filosofia habitada do Modo Operativo AND 

(Re)começamos sempre pelo Ninho, assim como também (re)começamos a cada vez que deixamos o ninho e nos tornamos Bando.

A Escola do Reparar 2023 convida a uma viagem prática e vivencial de reencontro com as experiências encarnadas do Ninho e do Bando, concretizações que emanam dos gestos-rituais do Re-pouso e do Re-voo, questão-tema da edição deste ano.

Dando continuidade à pesquisa do Amparo e do Encanto enquanto vias de resgate da experiência sensível da inseparabilidade, o Re-pouso e o Re-voo serão desdobrados numa jornada duracional, marcada por diferentes oficinas, laboratórios e cursos-retiros a se desenrolarem ao longo do ano, criando um campo seguro para pesquisarmos e experimentarmos, íntima e coletivamente, modos de operar a Restauração. 

Persistindo na investigação de como Reparar (n)o Irreparável, que sustenta o Modo Operativo AND, propomos uma demora na Restauração enquanto uma das muitas modulações da reparação. A Restauração é  aqui convocada, ao mesmo tempo, enquanto descanso profundo e restauração das forças, na luta pela descontinuação do Irreparável sistémico, e enquanto re-historiação das formas de vida, permitindo re-formular, e, assim, re-orientar, os nossos modos de existir, relacionar e habitar, na direção do respeito e do honrar da Vida.

Acreditamos que sintonizar com a inseparabilidade ao nível do corpo-soma é imprescindível para dar sustentação a um posicionamento político consistente de desprogramação, no plano íntimo do cada-ume (e, por reverberação, no plano coletivo onde somos muites), das lógicas de Dívida e Dúvida que, consecutivamente, vem corrompendo a nossa relação com a Dádiva e reiterando as lógicas usurpatórias do Irreparável hegemónico e estrutural. O desamparo e o desencanto, sob a forma do cansaço e da confusão, por um lado, e da tristeza e da indiferença, por outro lado, configuram a sintomática da expropriação capitalística do sensível, e produzem a ilusão da separação característica das subjetividades contemporâneas, reiterando a perpetuação do saque Irreparável. Desmobilizar o Irreparável, assim, envolve re-membrar - lembrar que somos inseparáveis e, também, voltar a juntar o que foi separado, reparando (n)o acesso a uma sabedoria do (i)limite, muito mais vasta do que cada ume de nós: a sabedoria encarnada, implicada e intemporal do agregado Soma-Terra que nos conecta ao Fundo Comum da Vida. 

Para enfrentar essa missão, que reencena a questão-chave do Modo Operativo AND - como matar o sistema (em nós) sem morrer? - é preciso estarmos restaurades. Com as forças refeitas, e com as formas amolecidas, porosas, reabertas - deformadas…

Assim, ao invés de responder, re-perguntamos:

Ante o Irreparável manifesto na ilusão da separação e no consequente afeto do esgotamento/desamparo e do embotamento/desencanto, COMO (SE AUTO)ANINHAR E (SE DE)BANDAR?

Chamamos um Estado de Re-pouso, no qual possamos re-orientar o desamparo em Amparo. Um estado, ao mesmo tempo, de des-canso (repouso) e de reencontro com o corpo-soma da Terra (re-pouso), no qual é possível voltar a chegar, aterrar e abrir caminho para uma regeneração urgente. Fazer Ninho para, assim, permitimo-nos ser (re)feites por ele, reconectando com o sustento, o envolvimento, o abrigo e o refúgio do Amparo, no qual torna-se possível reaprender a receber.

O ninho, onde re-pousamos em Amparo, é onde se pré-para (numa pausa-espera pelo nascimento, ou renascimento), onde se prepara (no gestar, esse gesto de construir o que virá) e, por vezes, também onde se repara (oferecendo campo seguro para o refazimento da vida através de deixar morrer aquilo que precisa morrer) De variadas maneiras, o ninho é onde a força do porvir re-pousa até tomar, outra vez, forma de Vida - se encantar e re-voar. 

Então o ninho é também lugar da manifestação primeira do encanto: fulgor da vida-morte a irromper. Portal, no aqui-e-agora, para a beleza e a justeza de tudo que há. 

Chamamos um estado de Re-voo, no qual possamos re-orientar o desencanto em Encanto. Um estado de des-ilusão radical, no qual, porque descolamos dos mecanismos da identificação e do entendimento, enfeitiçamos a maldição do ponto de vista individual que, desfeita, nos permite também decolar: entrar na revoada, retornar ao Bando. Na solidariedade infra e trans individual do bando, re-ligamos o acesso ao Encanto, passagem para a ordem implicada do Mistério, para o manancial (extra)ordinário dos possíveis da Vida, em constante re-generação e re-união, no qual torna-se possível reaprender a retribuir. 

O Bando - que é também debandagem da solidão sistémica - é quando e onde experimentamos a fusão sem confusão, a integridade sem inteireza do existir em co(n)sentimento com o Tudo-Todo, ao mesmo tempo aquém e além do ume. É quando e onde incorporamos o re-conhecimento de inter-sermos (e infra-sermos, e trans-sermos), e experimentamos a (des)integração na pertença à imensidão do Fundo Comum da Vida. Fazer bando é fazer nada a não ser estar a serviço: em sintonia com o entorno mais imediato, nem mais rápido nem mais devagar, nem muito perto nem muito longe,  nem muito igual nem muito diferente, nem faltante nem em excesso, apenas e justo num estado que é porque é comum.

SOBRE A ESCOLA

A Escola do Reparar é um programa anual continuado de investigação-criação expandida e formação artístico-política, que abriga quatro interfaces de encontro e se desenrola no eixo Portugal-Brasil. 

Apoiada na criação sempre em processo de Fernanda Eugenio com o Modo Operativo AND, em colaboração com a rede multilocalizada de artistas do Coletivo AND e com diferentes artistas convidades a cada vez, a Escola do Reparar toma, a partir da constelação prático-teórica do MO_AND, uma questão-tema por ano como mote para a criação de novos dispositivos performativos de encontro, proposições vivenciais, jogos e ferramentas de composição-criação coletiva, adotando a estrutura duracional da viagem para convidar à habitação e à persistência no trabalho íntimo-político da trans-forma-ação.

As suas quatro linhas de atividades estão desenhadas de modo a propiciar às pessoas participantes um percurso gradual e amparado de navegação na questão-tema do ano.

Começamos sempre pelo hANDling, oficinas de partilha do MO_AND e práticas afins (março a junho; setembro a novembro, em Lisboa e diferentes cidades do Brasil a cada ano), dedicado a oferecer as bases de sustentação da jornada anual, através da introdução e do desdobramento das ferramentas-conceito e princípios centrais do Modo Operativo AND, aliado a práticas corporais do Coletivo AND. 

A seguir, entramos nos Estudos Indóceis, grupo de estudos praticados e experimentais (maio - Portugal e outubro - Brasil), dedicado a partilhar a filosofia habitada à volta dos conceitos em foco a cada ano.

Chegamos então ao LANDscape, curso-retiro imersivo (julho - Portugal e janeiro - Brasil), construído sob a forma de jornada-ritual de trans-forma-ação, na qual o Modo Operativo AND se multiplica num conjunto de proposições político-afetivas encarnadas mais complexas, que convocam diferentes modulações de jogo da constelação AND lado a lado a peças-rituais especialmente criadas, a cada vez, para propiciar a experiência sensível e vivencial da questão-tema. Esta atividade é, ao mesmo tempo, fim e começo: uma culminância da jornada de cada ano, todos os meses de julho, que, ao se repetir em janeiro, opera também a pré-paração para o ano seguinte, e para uma nova questão-tema prestes a emergir. 

Toda a viagem é assistida e nutrida pelo [under]stANDing, programa de investigação continuada e de criação de artefatos por Fernanda Eugenio em colaboração com o Coletivo AND. O stANDing é a escola sendo gestada enquanto acontece e perpassa todo o ano em duas temporadas (fevereiro-julho e setembro-janeiro), compostas por trabalho presencial no Atelier AND Lab em Lisboa, encontros online e pelas Residências de Criação LAND, se abrindo ao exterior através de sessões de partilha e mostra informal de processos algumas vezes por ano.

Cabe ainda ressaltar que, embora hANDling, Estudos Indóceis e LANDscape se constituam enquanto atividades encadeadas, estão articuladas de modo a também permitir o ingresso de novas pessoas participantes a qualquer momento da viagem, que venham a acessar a experiência de modo avulso e pontual. 

A Escola do Reparar propõe habitar o 'entre' enquanto intervalo de potência, instaurando-se no seio dos cruzamentos arte-vida e estruturando-se de forma espraiada e multilocalizada, no trânsito entre Portugal e Brasil, entre o urbano e o rural e entre o presencial e o virtual, num compromisso em conjugar uma consistente deslocação subjetiva e sensível com o descentramento geográfico e a propagação digital. Reivindica-se, assim, enquanto campo de amparo para o encanto, enquanto campo seguro para o risco: firmado no cuidado e focado em (re)ativar a relação atenta com a Terra-Soma e, ao mesmo tempo, em infiltrar e sustentar um modo comunitário no quotidiano urbano e digital.

A Escola do Reparar oferece anualmente um mínimo de 25% de vagas sob a forma de bolsas integrais com perfil interseccional, para pessoas vulnerabilizadas por intersecções de classe, raça, gênero, deficiência, orientação sexual, corporalidades dissidentes, migração e/ou origem étnica.

Alight & Flight: Support, Enchantment and Restoration

THE ISSUE-THEME OF THE 2023 EDITION

We always (re)start from the Nest, just as we also (re)start each time we leave the nest and become Flock. 

The School of Reparar 2023 invites to a practical and experiential pathway of reencounter with the incarnate experiences of the Nest and the Flock, concretizations that emanate from the gestures-rituals of Alight and Flight, theme-issue of this year's edition.

Continuing the research of Support and Enchantment as ways to rescue the sensitive experience of inseparability, Alight and Flight will unfold in a durational journey, marked by different workshops, laboratories and courses-retreats that will take place throughout the year, creating a safe field for us to research and experiment, intimately and collectively, ways to operate Restoration. 

Persisting in the investigation of how to Repair the Irreparable, which sustains the Modus Operandi AND, we propose a delay in Restoration as one of the many modulations of Reparar (Portuguese word that synthesizes a triple gesture: stopping again, attentive noticing and care-curating). Restoration is summoned here both as deep rest and restoration of forces, in the struggle to discontinue the systemic Irreparable, and as re-historicization of life forms, allowing us to re-formulate, and thus re-orient, our ways of existing, relating, and inhabiting, in the direction of respecting and honoring Life.

We believe that tuning in to inseparability at the level of body-soma is essential to support a consistent political positioning of deprogramming, at the intimate level of the individual-self (and, by reverberation, at the collective level where we are many), the logics of Debt and Doubt that, consecutively, have been corrupting our relationship with the Gift and reiterating the usurpatory logics of the hegemonic and structural Irreparable. helplessness and disenchantment, in the form of weariness and confusion on the one hand, and sadness and indifference on the other, configure the symptomatic of the capitalistic expropriation of the sensible, and produce the illusion of separation characteristic of contemporary subjectivities, reiterating the perpetuation of the Irreparable plunder. Demobilizing the Irreparable, thus, involves re-membering - calling back to memory that we are inseparable, and also putting back together what has been separated, repairing the access to a wisdom of the (i)limit, far vaster than each of us: the embodied, implicated, and timeless wisdom of the Sum-Earth aggregate that connects us to the Common Fund of Life. 

To face this mission, which re-enacts the key question of the Modus Operandi AND - how to kill the system (in us) without dying? - we need to be restored. We need to have our forces rebuilt, and our forms softened, porous, reopened - deformed…

So, instead of answering, we re-ask:

In the face of the Irreparable, manifested in the illusion of separation and the consequent affection of exhaustion/disempowerment and blunting/disenchantment, HOW TO NEST AND FLOCK?

We call for a state of Alight, in which we can re-orient helplessness into Support. A state of rest and re-encounter with the body-soma of the Earth, in which it is possible to arrive again, to land, and to make way for an urgent regeneration. Making Nest so that we allow ourselves to be (re)made by it, reconnecting with the sustenance, the involvement, the shelter, and the refuge of Support, in which it becomes possible to relearn how to receive.

The nest, where we ground in Support, is where we pre-stop [pré-parar] (in a pause-waiting for birth, or rebirth), where we prepare [preparar] (in gestating, this gesture of building what will come) and, sometimes, also where we repair [reparar] (offering a safe field for the remaking of life through letting die what needs to die). 

So the nest is also the place of the first manifestation of Enchantment: the glow of life-death breaking through. A portal, in the here-and-now, to the beauty and justness of all that is.

We call for a state of Flight, in which we can re-orient disenchantment into Enchantment. A state of radical dis-illusionment, in which, because we detach from the mechanisms of identification and understanding, we bewitch the curse from the individual point of view that, undone, also allows us to take off: to enter the flight, to return to the Flock. In the infra- and trans-individual solidarity of the flock, we re-link access to the Enchantment, a passage to the implied order of Mystery, to the (extra)ordinary fountain of the possibilities of Life, in constant re-generation and re-union, in which it becomes possible to relearn how to reciprocate. 

The Flock - which is also the stampede of systemic loneliness - is when and where we experience the fusion without confusion, the integrity without wholeness of existing in co-sensing with the All-Everything, at the same time below and beyond the One. It is when and where we embody the recognition of inter-being (and infra-being, and trans-being), and experience (dis)integration in belonging to the vastness of the Common Fund of Life. To flock is to do nothing but to be of service: in tune with the most immediate surroundings, neither faster nor slower, neither too close nor too far away, neither too equal nor too different, neither lacking nor in excess, just in a state that is because it is common.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL

The School of Reparar is an annual ongoing program of expanded research-creation and artistic-political training, which houses four meeting interfaces and takes place on the Portugal-Brazil axis.

Based on Fernanda Eugenio's creation always in process with Modus Operandi AND, in collaboration with the multi-localized network of artists from AND Collective and with different artists invited each time, the School of Reparar takes a question-theme per year, from the practical-theoretical constellation of MO_AND, as a motto for the creation of new performative devices of encounter, experiential propositions, games and tools of collective composition-creation, adopting the durational structure of the journey to invite to dwelling and persistence in the intimate-political work of trans-form-action.

Its four lines of activities are designed to provide participants with a gradual and supported journey of navigation in the issue-theme of the year.

We always start with hANDling, workshops for sharing the MO_AND and related practices (March to June; September to November, in Lisbon and different cities in Brazil each year), dedicated to offering the foundations for sustaining the annual journey, through the introduction and unfolding of the concept-tools and central principles of the MO_AND, combined with body practices of the AND Collective. 

Next, we enter the Unruly Studies, a group of practiced and experimental studies (May - Portugal and October - Brazil), dedicated to sharing the inhabited philosophy around the concepts in focus each year.

Then we come to LANDscape, an immersive retreat-course (July - Portugal and January - Brazil), built as a trans-formation-action ritual-journey, in which the Modus Operandi AND multiplies itself in a set of more complex incarnated political-affective propositions, that summon different modulations of the AND constellation game side by side with ritual-pieces specially created, each time, to provide the sensitive and alive experience of the issue-theme. This activity is, at the same time, end and beginning: a culmination of each year's journey, every July, which, when repeated in January, also operates the prepreparation for the following year, and for a new issue-theme about to emerge.

The whole journey is assisted and nurtured by [under]stANDing, a program of continued research and artifact creation by Fernanda Eugenio in collaboration with the AND Collective. stANDing program is the school being gestated as it happens and runs throughout the year in two seasons (February-July and September-January), composed of face-to-face work in the Atelier AND Lab in Lisbon, online meetings and the LAND Creation Residencies, opening up to the outside world through sharing sessions and informal process shows a few times a year.

It is also worth mentioning that, although hANDling, Unruly Studies and LANDscape are constituted as interlinked activities, they are articulated in a way that also allows the entrance of new participants at any moment of the trip, who may access the experience in a sporadic and occasional way.

The School of Reparar proposes to inhabit the 'in-between' as an interval of strength, establishing itself in the heart of the art-life intersections and structuring itself in a spread out and multi localized way, in the transit between Portugal and Brazil, between the urban and the rural and between the present and the virtual, in a commitment to combine a consistent subjective and sensitive displacement with geographical decentering and digital propagation. It claims itself, thus, as a field of support for enchantment, as a safe field for risk: firmed on care and focused on (re)activating the attentive relationship with the Earth-Soma and, at the same time, on infiltrating and sustaining a communitarian mode in the urban and digital everyday life.

The School of Reparar annually offers a minimum of 25% of places in the form of full scholarships with an intersectional profile, for people made vulnerable by intercessions of class, race, gender, disability, sexual orientation, dissident corporealities, migration and/or ethnic origin.

The activities of the School of Reparar in Portugal are bilingual (Portuguese and English) whenever necessary.
