Details
AND Lab em Festa (AND Lab in Celebration), created through the daily interaction with the community that frequents the AND Lab Space through its Fazer Comum program, aims to emerge as a consequence of the encounters and bonds fostered throughout our programming, collectively designed to include artists and groups that have been in residence at the space, through proposals animated by the people who facilitate regular classes and/or periodic meetings, through proposals created collaboratively during the Indocile Studies and by all AND programs and actions, namely creations from the Escola do Reparar, AND All and Crafting.
On September 20th, between 6:00 pm and midnight, we open the doors of our space to everyone who wants to join in the sharing, the party and the coexistence, anchored by the re-paration that permeates the work of AND Lab and its partners.
Building on the work developed during the 2024-2025 cycle, this fest's programming, like us, is diverse in format and delivery. Among the creations developed by AND Lab, we present:
the final version of the game “Re-Membering the Future”, created by Fernanda Eugenio, Gustavo Ciríaco, Catarina Real, and Ali Talaat, in collaboration with students from the António Arroio Artistic HighSchool. This game emerged from Codename Seedling/Erasmus+ project, a European partnership that aimed to raise awareness of ecological issues among young people through artistic creations;
the video installation “Resfôlego", the result of the situated performance presented at the Pedras 25 Festival—created by the AND Collective—and which derives from the ongoing research of the School of Reparar over the past two years on the creation of the states of nest/re-rest and flock/re-flight, which now unfolds into listening to the calls of other life forms and experiences of enlightenment, portals of access to the multidimensionality of life.
In dialogue with others, we invite Dai Ida and Bernardo Chatillon to be, along side us, the souls of the party and share performative moments of thoughts and potential projects. Doors will be open, and with them, possibilities.
We will also share, in a stall format, the artefacts that have emerged from our research-creation practice, offering the possibility of consultation and purchase.
And it all connects with food, drink, music, dance, and joy.
Admission is free and there is no registration required. Just show up :)

ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES
Re-membering the Future Game
Remembering the Future is a tool for addressing the waste produced by human nature-cultures and the climate change crisis with young audiences. Through a playful device that takes the form of a game, it:
- offers information on the environmental imbalances and social injustices resulting from the use and consumption of objects made from plastic, metal, paper, and fabric; their extraction and acquisition methods; the production and manufacturing processes of everyday items using these four types of materials; and, finally, the ways in which they are discarded and disposed of.
- encourages creative reflection on how we can transform our relationship with these materials, reorienting their modes of use and our habits to reduce the human impact on the planet.
Developed by AND Lab | Research Center for Art-Thought & Coexistence Policies, within the scope of the Erasmus+ project Codename Seedling: Youth Tackling Climate Challenges Through Arts (2024-2026), a collaborative creation between artists Fernanda Eugenio, Gustavo Ciríaco, Catarina Real, and Ali Talaat, the game promotes awareness and imagination through the exercise of re-membering:
We cannot not be together.
Criation: Fernanda Eugenio, Gustavo Ciríaco, Catarina Real e Ali Talaat, with students from Textile Arts of School António Arroio
Resfôlego Video-Installation
A meeting between Consistencies, creating conditions for Appearance.
In this brief exercise in unpredictability and impermanence, we found ourselves in a vacant lot sufficiently protected and exposed to hide in the obvious and escape the regime of extractivism and urgency that devours the surrounding city.
As the body expands in a triangulation of flesh-plastic-wind, we practiced surrendering to the wisdom of regeneration that the earth provides, in its hibernation camouflaged by abandonment. We practiced attunement to the energy of upheaval, crossing, and passing of the wind that never sleeps. And we experimented with re-enchanting a toxic material of human invention, which has been the subject of so much disenchantment in recent times.
The commitment: to watch re-rest become re-flight, rest unfold into release, the astral body detach from the physical, the dream embody itself in manifestation It is from this proposition that, at the junction of inside and outside perspectives, the video installation of the same name emerges, as a fixation of an action that continues to listen and awaken attention and communication to other beings with whom we share the world.
