Chi Kung, one of the branches of traditional Chinese medicine, is more than just gentle exercise that can be practiced by everyone, regardless of age or physical condition. It is an ancient art of human body movement that is attentive to the relationship between the human body and its environment and promotes good health and well-being, activating the regenerative capacity that we all carry within us.
The basic principles of performing each movement or sequence of Chi Kung movements are attention to breathing, concentration, stretching and relaxation. Its effects, when practiced continuously, are multiple, and include improved sleep, reduced stress levels, improved blood, lymphatic and energy circulation, action on inflammation and mobility of the body's limbs and joints.
