The AND Hap exhibitions are temporary meeting areas that periodically open the AND Lab Space to the outside, inviting the public to be accomplices and participants in unique situations of sharing what is happening here in terms of creation and research. The AND Hap exhibitions are activated several times a year, hosting, in the form of happenings, different types of events, ranging from open rehearsals and process displays of the residencies hosted at the Space to proposals such as interventions and performances, lectures and conferences, gatherings and parties, etc. In addition, we also activate the AND Hap interface to periodically share our emerging artifacts and to mark the beginnings and ends of each season of our programming.

This event is part of the artistic residency of the collective Corpas Criativas, which will take place at Espaço AND Lab from May 18 to 25, 2025.

“Corpas Criativas” is a space for artistic experimentation and activism, where memory, identity and diversity intertwine to create transformative narratives. Inspired by the stories and traditions of diasporic communities, the collective was created with the purpose of redefining art as a powerful tool for social change and cultural celebration.

In this informal sharing, Joni Ricos and Pedro Barbosa bring to the public a glimpse of the processes, questions and paths opened throughout the residency: a practice that intersects performance, words, gestures and ancestral spirituality, giving body to stories that often remain on the margins.

More than a final presentation, this AND Hap is an invitation to be together, to witness what emerges, to go through questions and share attentive listening — celebrating plurality as a vital force.

The activity is free, with no need to register but subject to availability.

Joni Ricos / @joniricos

Visual artist, filmmaker, photographer and communications manager, living in Lisbon since 2018. With a degree in Performing Arts from the Fundação Cultural de Curitiba, he develops projects that cross cinema, performance and community art, strategically supporting collectives and cultural associations to increase the visibility of social and cultural agendas.

Pedro Barbosa / @p.barbosa16

Cultural producer, poet, playwright, artivist and researcher of religions of African origin. President of the Ilé Àṣé Ìgbà Mérìndínlógún Ọ̀ṣùn Association and director of the Agadá Cia de Dança Afro Contemporânea, he works in Lisbon at the intersection of art, spirituality and activism, exploring love and ancestral technologies as drivers of creation.
