About

At the Corners of Curves (A cosmic space where created knowledge is sustained) Overview of the Content: I conceived the neologism "Curveward" during my MFA in Dance at Bennington College (USA) to address the need to move sinuously in response to circular forces and unknown territories, creating a timeline that fosters creative relationships and expands the understanding of movement. Co-Creativities in the context: "POLITICS of REPAIRS" The Politics of Repairs seeks to restore balance and maintain creative-therapeutic processes. It recognizes and corrects inequalities, rebuilding relationships between individuals, communities, and environments. It applies to postcolonial studies, ecology, philosophy, education, and experimental artistic practices. CURVE TECHNOLOGY Comprised of Pedagogy and Technicity: Curve Technology emerges as an organic process rooted in the technicities of lands and soils, articulated by the Sentinel Host — Abouyavi Amivi Anani Dodji Kossi Chouchou Pierre Awoga, Alokpah Sanouvi. An educator and non-initiated Animist-Vaudou practitioner, he belongs to the Éwé ethnic group from Notse, HAHO region, Togo. Drawing from Éwé epistemologies, where creativity is engagement with the world, Anani proposes a dance beyond Western choreography. In the State of Flirting (Male-Molência), trans-subjective flows, negotiations, and a deep desire to sense and learn are activated. This biodynamic state allows us to enter curved thresholds, activating the transformative power of curved creativity as an animist practice and a sensitive approach to movement and the body in relation with the world. Biweekly on Fridays, from 7pm to 9pm Public: Professionals and students of dance, theater, performance, action arts, psychology, anthropology, sociology and architecture. __________ Biweekly on Fridays, from 7pm to 9pm Single class or monthly fee (2 classes): €25 with Anani Sanouvi | @ananisanouvi (+ in the gallery below) Audience: Professionals and students of dance, theater, performance, action arts, psychology, anthropology, sociology and architecture.
